(RP=88) Tasted at the André Lurton tasting in London. The 2004 Couhins-Lurton Blanc was tasted both from closure under cork and screwcap to compare. I preferred the bottle under cork, which seemed to express more terroir, more Pessac-Léognan and displayed more fatness. This comes armed with light citrus fruit, yellow flowers and just a touch of wild mushroom developing with bottle age. The palate is fresh on the entry with a fine bead of acidity, quite saline in the mouth with a touch of spiciness and a touch of curry leaf on the aftertaste. Tasted June 2017.
